Q: What does HENTAI mean? MANGA? DOUJINSHI?
A: HENTAI = pervert(ed) | MANGA = professional comic | DOUJINSHI(Dojin) = amateur comic

The comic style is mostly Japanese so many of the comics are in the Japanese language, BUT there is a very large english comic section here on the site. The doujinshi(amateur comics) almost always parody a popular anime series or game, such as the game Street Fighter or the anime Bleach. Hentai Manga(pro-comics) tend to have their own storylines and are LONG, like around 200 pages! The hentai manga added here have the most graphic content from cover to cover. So out of those 200 pages, the majority of them have hardcore sex scenes. Kinda like a comic porn novel.

Q: WHY CAN’T I DOWNLOAD anything?
A: Akobu.com is a HUGE hentai archive site. You must register first to access the content. After you register you can log-in at the top of the left menu and then download as much hentai content as you want. The content you are able to preview is only half of what is available. Q: What will I be DOWNLOADING to my computer?
A: Typically a 20 to 200 page hardcore adult comic or image set of your choice in zip format, all files are checked and virus free ofcourse.

Q: WHAT are these ZIP/RAR FILES?
A: It’s a single archive file that contains multiple files that are compressed to preserve space. Zip archives are convenient for containing files that you want to preserve as backups or as a convenient way of sending multiple files to someone.

Q: Why do you use the ZIP FILES?
A: It is much more convenient to download a fully zipped comic that can be over 200 pages(200 separate files!) than each individual page one by one.

Q: What program do I need to open zip/rar files?
A: Most operating systems already have “unzipping” software so try “right clicking”(PC) or “option click”(apple) and see if you can select a menu option to extract the file contents. Otherwise I’d suggest “Winrar” download here or “7 Zip” download here both programs are free to download and allow you to extract many different archive formats.

Q: Why is some of the artwork CENSORED?
A: In Japan it is illegal to show the genital area, thus the censorship. However laws over there have become more relaxed so there is not much censorship or none in some cases. The majority of the content we add has very little censorship or is uncensored.

Q: Where can I BUY the actual physical comics or the cg artwork?
A: The only solid english site I know of to purchase new manga/dojin is www.jlist.com
To get more CG artwork you can check out www.dlsite.com They have an english section and when you purchase the cg set you are instantly able to download it, thus the name “download site.” It also has contracts with the artists so the artists get paid.

Q: I’m having problems with viewing/hearing one of your movies, what’s the problem?
A: First I’d recommend using VLC Media Player (download here) it plays mostly everything. If this still doesn’t work you might need three codecs,
for AVI files: DivX, XviD for OGM files: OGG
